Maranatha Chapel

Project type

Branding & Illustration

Date

1984 & 2024

For Maranatha Chapel, Good Night Future Boy took on two meaningful projects: the church’s 40th anniversary and the Discipled series.

For the anniversary, Future Boy did what he does best—jumped through time. Traveling back to 1984, he designed the branding from the era itself, capturing the spirit of the church’s early days. The focal point? A hand-drawn illustration of Tower 32, the site of decades of summer baptisms. Sketched with an ordinary ink pen, it embraced the raw, personal touch of something truly human. That illustration became the heart of the branding, making its way onto t-shirts so well received they needed a second run. Even better, proceeds went toward building homes for those in need—proving good design can do more than just look cool.

For Discipled, a multi-part teaching series, we crafted a cohesive visual identity with hand-drawn icons, screen designs, and illustrations. To keep the branding consistent across all platforms, we also created mini style guides, giving the team the tools to carry the look forward.
